Seeking Second Shift Veterinary Technician, Tuesday to Saturday 1pm-9pm

Option to rotate between First Shift (7am-2pm) and Second Shift (2pm-9pm)

Flexibility to the above hours available in order to accommodate an individual's needs.

We are a small animal, AAHA accredited, private practice located in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. We are looking for a Certified or Experienced Veterinary Technician to care for our patients and support our 13 Veterinarians.

The ideal veterinary technician will enjoy both working independently and in a team environment with a strong ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will bring well rounded technical skills in all aspects of veterinary medicine including but not limited to radiology, surgery, the ability to triage emergency cases, critical animal care, patient care, hospital cleanliness, equipment maintenance, inventory logging, etc. Additional training will be provided. The right candidate will be motivated, reliable and a team player.

Duties will include but not limited to:

*Phlebotomy/Placing IV catheters

*Surgical Prep/Monitoring anesthesia

*Patient care - critical and routine, including exotics

*Sterilizing equipment

*Filling prescriptions

*Administering medications prescribed by Veterinarians

*Laboratory procedures

*Keep accurate records and logs

*Client education and communication

*Preparing vaccines

*Greeting clients and patients

*Patient Restraint

*Radiology

*Maintaining hospital cleanliness and other various duties throughout the hospital

The ideal candidate should be familiar with a Windows-based computer system.
